Dear readers, in celebration of Hero's TV's 10th anniversary that is today, I decided to pick this incredible anime why? Because this one is the first anime that is broadcasted on this channel on this day.

So we've imagine a talking dog that is owned by a ninja boy, a boy who loves baseball, and a geek. So who's gonna protect Earth against the forces of evil? Well, I am talking about Energy Bomb (or Genki Bakuhatsu) Ganbaruger!

Ever since this is the second installment of the Eldran series (in of course which is a toy and animation franchise by Tomy), this incredible mecha-comedy and adventure anime that is produced by Sunrise, it was aired on April 1st, 1992 to February 24th, 1993 with a grand total of 47 episodes in TV Tokyo. The anime is also aired on PTV 4 (now People's Television Network) and Cartoon Network in the Philippines.

These schoolboys are a three-man Earth Defense team, in which not to be confused with Sun Vulcan.

We get to meet these boys in the anime: a ninja in training named Koutarou Kirigakure, a trained baseball player Rikiya Ryuuzaki, and the geek (or nerd!) named Yousuke Kazamatsuri, all these three boys are living in a place called Blue Sky City. In a simple one day in the city, Koutarou and his dad, Toubei Kirigakure, accidentally broke the seal (OH BOY) that is said to be connected with the Demon World from the Human World (aka Earth). It's not just between that until the spirit of light, Eldran, appeared in the Demon World in front of the three boys along with three strange machines. Later on, Eldran appoints the boys to protect and save the world from destruction as the Ganbaruger Team and use the titular robot to fight evil giant monsters. Yamino Ryuusei the 3rd (aka the evil sorcerer) then puts a curse on Koutarou's dad, turning him into a dog (he later named Gonzales or 'Gon' in this form) after the Ganbaruger Team emerged victorious in the first battle. He did the same thing to the boys, but didn't work that well. But there is a catch though; in exception when Kotarou, Rikiya and Yousuke revealed their identities, all three will turned into dogs just like Toubei did. And now, the Ganbaruger Team is now needed to save and protect the world from Yamino Ryuusei and the Demon Empire at the same time, thus keeping their identities low as the Ganbaruger Team.

We all know Ai Orikasa. She might the voice behind the prankster/leader of the Ganbaruger Team, but she is also known for such roles in Axis Powers Hetalia (as Sealand), Blue Seed (as Ryoko Takeuchi), Osamu Tezuka's Buddha movie (as the young Siddartha), Gravitation (as Tohma Seguchi), Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (as Quatre Raberba Winner), and One Piece (as Momonosuke). The legendary Bin Shimada, who is the voice of Rikiya Ryuuzaki, is known for his legendary roles as Brolly in some of the Dragon Ball Z movies. Shimada also plays some roles in Gintama (as Gengai Hiraga), Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (as Paptimus Scirocco), Mysterious Joker (as Silver Heart), Robot Girls Z (as Dr. Hell), Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs (as Richard Lancelot), Sailor Moon (as Yuuichirou Kumada), and You're Under Arrest (as Ken Nakajima). The team's nerd/geek that is Yousuke Kazamatsuri, is voiced by Omi Minami, who is known for her incredible roles in Code Geass (as Euphemia Li Britannia), Carnival Phantasm (as Satsuki Yumizuka), Black Blood Brothers (as Alice and Kotarou Mochizuki), Di Gi Charat (as Takuro "Minataku" Minagawa), Gintama (as Tama), Happy Seven (as Mina and Nami Kotobuki), Kiddy Grade (as Dvergr), and Martian Successor Nadesico (as Ruri Hoshino). Koutarou's ninja dad who turned into a dog, Toubei Kirigakure, is voiced by the legendary Kenichi Ogata, who is known as Professor Hiroshi Agasa in Case Closed, Houshou Saionji in Daa! Daa! Daa!, Myoga in InuYasha, Genma Saotome (aka Ranma's dad who turned into a panda) in Ranma ½, and lastly Analyzer in Space Battleship Yamato. The antagonist in the show, Yamino Ryuusei the 3rd, who served under Gokuark as a sorcerer, is voiced by Kazuyuki Sogabe, who is known for his legendary roles including Ken Hayabusa in Machine Hayabusa, Koujiro Hachijima in Gasshin Sentai Mechander Robo, Shingo Mitamura in Attacker You!, and lastly Kyoshiro Yuzuki in Tosho Daimos.

Other voice actors starred in the show were Koichi Yamadera, Rica Fukami, Masaharu Satou, and Yuri Shiratori.

Let's get ready to have a full energetic explosion against the evil forces of Daimakai, with the legendary Energy Bomb Ganbaruger!
